Porcelain veneers can change your smile by correcting or camouflaging severe discoloration, damage, misalignment or teeth that are poorly shaped.

Veneers are thin ceramic shells that are bonded onto the surfaces of prepared teeth in much the same way that false fingernails are applied.

Two visits are needed-one to prepare the tooth and take an impression and one to place the veneer. The veneers are custom fitted by a dental laboratory using a mold made from the impression. Veneers do not stain as they are made of porcelain-similar to fine china.

Often bleaching is done in conjunction with veneers if the goal is to lighten all the teeth. The bleaching is done first and then the veneers are created to match the bleached teeth.
